Aqua Blast essentially aerobic exercise in the water. It typically takes place in shallow water at a swimming pool and as part of an organised group session that lasts 45 minutes. Workouts usually comprise of routines familiar to those who have experienced land aerobics, and could include jumping jacks, cross-country skiing motion and walking and running backwards and forwards. Workouts also commonly feature such special water devices, such as foam tubes and dumbbell floats, which are used to aid flotation and resistance.
Aqua aerobics classes are designed for participants who want a fun and energetic workout to help improve their body shape and tone and boost their fitness levels. Exercise in water has many benefits and is suitable for participants of different sizes, fitness and health. It is also open to non-swimmers, as the exercise is performed in chest-deep water. It is therefore one of the safest water sports. No prior experience of aqua aerobics is necessary.
We use a variety of equipment these classes help to improve fitness and stamina in a safe and controlled environment. We don’t actively participate in swimming, so these classes are suitable for non-swimmers.
