Women don’t often prioritise quality down time in their lives and can often feel emotionally and physically exhausted and burnt out. As much as we crave and need to get away from it all for a long weekend or week, it’s hard for some women to manage this, and that’s why I have created a two-hour mini retreat to help women to rediscover the benefits of focused self-care practices to support the mind and body to rest and recharge.
If you are in need of a re-set before the festive season starts, or are looking for a deeper connection to yourself, as life has been so busy of late, then come along and enjoy some peace, quiet time and rebuild your energy and restore some balance.
Practicing gentle movement and stretches and relaxation techniques can significantly benefit you by slowing your heart rate and breathing rate, lowering blood pressure, improving digestion and maintaining normal blood sugar levels.
Connecting to your body and disconnecting from the daily routine, habits and chores allows you time to boot your brain and unwind. Constantly being ‘switched on’ doesn’t give your brain a chance to rest and replenish itself. Being in your own space with no distractions gives you the chance to clear your mind, focus, and think more clearly. It’s an opportunity to revitalise your mind and body at the same time.
We shall focus on a progressive muscle relaxation technique, visualisation, deep breathing and stretches during our session to help unwind. Unplug from your phone, your current stresses or concerns to support improved mental wellbeing and help to prioritise and process what your body needs.
Held at the lovely countryside space known as The Outside Studio, Copdock IP8 3JD. Plenty of free parking available.
